Journals/Diaries ... February-March
- Alanis Morissette, you little sweetie ...you have been promoted to "GREAT" at Thompson Lake ( after hearing that operatic -like song that tested your register !!) Anybody know the name ? - spring, where are you? - excitement for today ... a mouthful of gas ... never again, how come Jared did it a couple of hundred times without any ill effects? - patiently (kinda) awaiting plane. - Debbie and the girls are going to try Crystal Voice today for chatting ... yeah! - have to change web hosting sites for Thompson Lake Lodge ... this site is totally out of control re; pop-ups. - well, it appears I made it through the winter... I shiver every time I think of last Xmas/New Years. - the trees I cut behind me were approx. 40 years old and rotting down the centre ... nothing lives long in the North. - a HELPFUL HINT from Alena: if your wood/hand saw is binding/jamming ... use soap or candle wax. - Jen you little slut... you broke his artistic heart. - I’m so far behind ... I get into a 1990 vehicle and believe it’s new ! - thank you Sipowitz and all ... for the many , many years of entertainment ( Jared and I started watching NYPD on the C-band.) - 0C --I do believe I’ll go dive for pearls. - how do I shrink cotton ? - yes, Thompson Lake has certainly been a training ground for bush pilots re; topography – right Rob, Dave, Johnny, etc. ? - from an amateur radio friend: Q: How the hell do you land on your lake ... there are super hills from every direction. A: Very, very carefully !! - hello George – good buddy ( Mar.19) ... it sure was good to have company for an hour or two. - hey pilots ... put that load up your log-book ! - George said there was a moose in behind me; yes I know her, she should have a calf with her... but we all know what happened to the calf, don’t we? You BASTARDS ... I’m now counting the months till next trapping season. Every time I think of wolves!
- tactical holsters
are not great for the bush.- for the would - be woodsman: you can tell a half dry tree (pine/spruce) – the bottom/top will have no green growth. - well, what should we talk about now? - Mazolla oil works great on leather – thank you !! - hey that was hilarious ... exactly two years ago I received that coffee pot for Xmas and this Dec. 25 my old coffee pot sprang a leak. - second time that chopper has flown over me with that giant transducer dangling from it ... yes, of course they are scanning me ! - wow ! What a difference in seasons ... between power from the wind and the sun I am not running my gas power plant. - Jared continues to do well in town... well, except for the super stress. - you all like my trick photography? Yeah - like I really planned it! - look good people, I am rambling about nothing , so I will sign off now... Wishing you all a great spring and I’ll see you at break-up. Your buddy... Enough Snow?
The Wood Stove...Yeah! I had to feed this pig!
If Mike gets REALLY hungry...there's "Miles"!
I caught "Miles" trying to steal the snow machine! - I never
did catch up on my wood supply.
- the lake is ok now for me to start hauling last winter’s wood! Now that’s funny/sick !! - got a pile of holsters in to play with the leather and make mods ... also got the super springs for my 1911A1 conversion from Gunnar @ ARMCO … yeah ! - still no animals moving. - the 80 meter band on amateur radio finally opened for a short time ... good to hear you guys. - yes, the Russian ladies are alive and in good spirits ... point of interest; St. Petersburg winter was a lot milder then mine / elevation - same as me; 56th parallel. - the central interior (eastern portion) is experiencing the worst winter in 30 years. - we have moved our web site, and it almost went routine! Who says there are no miracles ?
