Getting to Thompson Lake

Guests may travel to La Ronge, Saskatchewan by airplane or a good paved highway. La Ronge is a modern northern settlement offering a number of choices for overnight accommodation, restaurants, laundromat, grocery and tackle stores.

A flight to Thompson Lake from La Ronge will typically be made by Cessna, Beaver, or Otter float aircraft, taking about 30 minutes.  You’ll fly over a seemingly endless vista of beautiful lakes (part of the Churchill River system), stretching across Saskatchewan’s North. 

Your flight from La Ronge can be arranged through "Transwest Air", a company created by the merger of La Ronge Aviation and Athabaska Airways in 2000.
